    Very interesting one here.

Can Leicester go 5 clear at the top? Can Benitez get an immediate tune out of Newcastle?

Leicester: Schmeichel, Simpson, Huth, Morgan, Fuchs, Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, Albrighton, Okazaki, Vardy,

Subs: Schwarzer, Wasilewski, Inler, Amartey, Schlupp, Gray, Ulloa

Newcastle: Elliot, Colback, Lascelles, Taylor, Janmaat, Sissoko, Anita, Shelvey, Perez, Wijnaldum, Mitrovic

Subs: Darlow, Sterry, Saivet, Townsend, De Jong, Riviere, Doumbia

I'd like to see Bentitez do well with Newcastle, but I hope Leicester win the league more. So cmon the fcuk Leicester!

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    Leicester should win this comfortably.

Shelvey as captain is a strange one. On the face of it he seems the very opposite of what you'd be looking for.

    Cue winning goal now

Only one who doesn't go missing in games. One of the better performers which says very little about the quality of Newcastle.

Got a bit giddy when Rafa walked out there as our manager. :o

Newcastle pressing very high on the Leicester full backs when the pick up possession as noted by Tim Howard on NBC commentary. Interesting tactic.

Rafa also obviously fancies him, since he signed him for Pool. The deal officially went over the line when Hodge arrived, but it was all already in place.

This and the Liverpool game are the only ones I want Newcastle to lose - sorry lads, the Leicester dream is just too good!

This is the most running I've seen from Sissoko ever.

Anita not been great, Leicester back 4 look nervous on the ball. Need to close them as much as possible

Mitro needs to get away from huth too. He is getting eaten alive

Doesn't look like Leicester will be able to break Newcastle down here. Benitez has them drilled superbly already.

Bollocks. Good goal all the same.

Shocking dive for the free kick leading up to it.

Fine goal, always seems to be a screamer or a fluke when required against us

    We are crumbling...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,973 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Lovely touch by Vardy but Taylor was in all sorts of bother there!

That last attack pretty much sums up Newcastle this season.

How many times will players jump all over Mitrovic before we get a foul given against them this season? Every game!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Anyway as long as we don't crumble it's an improvement

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

    Winning zero in the air

Impressed with Shelvey's discipline, filling in defensive holes whenever they appear.

Whatever about the start of the season, he has calmed down a lot but every game we have opposition players cynically fouling him and getting away with it to try and rile him up.

    Outrageous

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,774 ✭✭✭cadete

Decent first half keeping the ball reasonably well not nearly as sloppy as usual, would like to see gini or Perez closer to mitrovic as personally think he's doing well especially off Morgan,
Soft free great goal but we're not out of it at all!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 599 ✭✭✭09_09_09

    2-1 to Newcastle.

Rafa please take Cissoko(sp??) and Mitrovic (sp??) off and Put Townsend and Doumbia (Mitrovic seems to be immobile) for the 2nd half. I think Andros pace will cause them some problem..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

We need to take Anita off. He's offering little. Mitro needs to stay on because he's the only one who brings players into play around him when he is able to hold up the ball.

Sissoko has to come off for Townsend. The former has been complete crap.

The ground Kante makes up is unreal.

And to think that Real Madrid decided against signing him because he was unknown
