    Hi,

I have a Baxi Megaflo HE IE boiler. It is gas boiler. I put it in a few years ago and get it serviced every year

Anyway it has stopped working. I checked it and it is flashing E1 and then 64 so I guess that is E164? I don't see anything in manual?

    I just see this list:
    http://www.baxi.co.uk/trade-area/support/error-codes.htm

Any idea how I could fix?

I tried that, turned it off and on, same error came up

    Tried the rest and nothing

Checked water pressure and it is ok

The pump in the boiler seems to be going but it is not firing

Usually means overheating I'm nearly sure. Coujd be air build up because of the boiler location.
Could be sludge either. Was the system powerflushed before the new boiler was installed?
Is there a magnetic filter at the boiler?

It's air locked or the pumps jammed on the top of the older ones there is an auto air vent beside the flue bend make sure that's open other than that you will need an rgi to look at it

Ok, no idea what I am at, there is valve at top but looks to be able to let air out

ANy idea how much it would cost to get it fixed?

E164 is a water flow switch error on this model, which maybe either:
    a) too low water pressure
    b) failed pump
    c) failed/blocked water flow switch/filters
    d) circulation issues (dirt, blocked filters, power flush required etc.)

You can top up your water to a cold fill pressure of 1bar and reset the boiler, if it's b-d you will need an RGI to diagnose and repair

Quick update, had a look around one of evenings during the week, found a valve and let a little squirt of water out, bingo it fired up....happy days

    Thanks everyone for advice
