    http://www.hyperfi.co.uk/index.php

Product descriptions say "Manufacturer Graded Item - Official Manufacturer 12 Month Warranty" or "Denon UK B-stock - 12 months warranty" etc.

I emailed them and they said " B-stock units are units that might have a minor cosmetic blemish and/or the packaging is tatty".

Just worried they are returns sent back out again, whether or not that is a bad thing.

The test I apply is to see if there is a landline number and/or a bricks and mortar address. In this case there is neither, there is a UK freephone (0800 ....) number and an e-mail address and nothing else, either in the 'Contact Us' or the 'About Us' webpages so you have no idea where these guys are located. Neither do they state if the goods carry a manufacturer's warranty as for example is the case if you buy refurbished goods from Apple. That means that if the equipment arrives and you find that it doesn't work, you're kinda screwed.

There was previously a store by that name in Barking and Romford selling the same type of (ex-demo) equipment but they no longer exist. On each individual item for sale on the website there is an icon 'Buy in Store, click for directions' but when you click it, you get the e-mail screen.

    Caveat Emptor

In general, I'm not that happy to have these kind of questions on the forum unless they can be answered by one with direct experience of the store - even then it is impossible to judge the veracity or otherwise of something which might be posted with an ulterior motive.

Coylemj's advice here - "buyer beware" - is good advice, effectively it is up to you to make your own enquirers and to decide for yourself.

I'm locking this thread in a few days, if someone has personal dealings that would help the OP and that they would like to impart, feel free to post.

    Thanks

Some of the product pages do state a manufacturer's warranty but only some. I agree with what you say and won't be taking a chance with this company unless somebody else can say they bought without any problems.
