Imported VW Golf 1.4 basic model from UK in 2008 ( 1 yr old car 2007), petrol Has been a great drive but clocking up a lot of mileage now at 150K miles..doing 30K miles PA...feel though its time to change cos i could afford a loan 400pm at present over 3 years.
Dont see many/any 1.4s for sale here all 1.2 or 1.6 ...my question is would i find a big difference buying a 1.2 ?.....or would I save buying again in England 1.4...was thinking a 2012-13 with lowish mileage ?

Have you heard of diesel :D
At 30k miles per annum, you're in diesel territory.

well if a 2012 golf is 21,000e on carzone and a 2010 golf is 7,000stg in NI , it might be easier to help you make you mind up

list price for a new golf starts at €20225 so the above statement is a little misleading.
