    I'm using an old card and HD box from when I was with sky (the were paired to eachother at the time before I cancelled my sub).
    Setanta's page accepted the card number fine and I just set up the box and I'm getting "This is the wrong Sky viewing card for this Sky+HD box". I'm assuming this is due to their pairing and the fact that the card is deactivated.

    Anyone know if it'll work once Setanta activate the package? I can't see sky being helpful in pairing a deactivated card for someone who is no longer a customer but I'll try them on Monday if needs be.

    How long has this offer been out for?

    Pity i didn't get it for last nite, handy for some GAA games left & upcoming EPL games, pity it doesn't have a full breakdown of the games coming as i used to get it here but reverts back to the other link.

    It's because you didn't have the box on for some time, same thing happened to me.
    I've no idea if it'd just start to work when setanta activate it.

    But you can repair it yourself, you'll need to connect the box to your internet or phone line first though.
    Get to the hidden installers menu, try pressing 'services 0 0 1 select' or else google it for your firmware. Then do a new install.

    Do they email you to let you know that it's been activated or do you check yourself?

    Signed up there myself although I'm not sure if it will go through. Cancelled my Sky sub last year and am now using a UK card for the FTA channels. I used that card number and my normal address so will wait and see.

    No, they're 2 different numbers.

    You will need a Sky card in the box to receive Setanta/BT. Doesn't matter if its an active card or not but it has to be a Sky card.

    If you have a sky sub, the card should be inside a little flip down panel on the bottom right corner.

    There is no validation on the card number that you enter, I fat fingered entering my card number on the first attempt and it 'accepted' it even though it was clearly an invalid card number - might be worth signing-up again and verify you have the card number right. I signed-up on Friday at 6 and it was active less than 24hrs later.

    Filled in the form on Friday and it's working today - was out all day yesterday so it was probably activated with the others on the previous page.

    Bonus: HD picture and all which is nice as I don't have a HD sub for the rest :)
