    Hi
1.we bought our house few years back in Dublin 12 it had old wooden floors, so we put plywood won top of it and tilled whole downstairs with large format tiles. now we are planning to build porch is it possible to fill underneath those wood with pumped cement Or it will be messy as all wires are going underneath.

    2. We have our electricity metre in house, When we r planning to build poarch , which a size of 1135mm in length and 1925mm in width. So we r thinking to put a door with two glass on side in front and two windows on each walls .Is it possible to put a cabinet for electricity meter on wall on one side along with window?

Also what are the thought of leaving meter inside or outside

    thanks

I'm sure point 1 is possible but it would be a terrible idea. Loose wires buried in concrete? What a mess.

    1. Is the house 100% suspended floors? Perhaps you might read around the forum
    2. Yes, subject to building regs

Is the plan to remove all the large format tiles and sub floor then pump in concrete on top of rigid insulation. Cables could be put in to ducting then but if the plan was to pump from the outside , waste of time I reckon. Damp proof issues along with breathability and insulation factors to consider also.

If your porch was bigger planning might stipulate the box be moved to the outside. The utility companies prefer them on the outside for reading purposes. There's no issue with putting a cabinet over it once it can be easily accessed unlocked when the meter reader calls

I'm not an electrician but I'd be quite confident that if you plan to move your meter you should move it to comply with contemporary regs which require it in an external wall within 2.0 m if the front wall.
