No water, private group water scheme

I have returned from work to discover that the ESB have turned off the electricity to the pump house on my estate, as a result no one has any water.  This is a small estate with its own well but on mains sewage.  The drinking water has been managed by the developer up to now, unfortunately the company appears to be in receivership and the bills have gone unpaid.  I realise that Irish Water is not responsible for this, however I do need advise as to who we approach to restore our water.  It is amazing that the ESB is allowed to do what IW cannot do, that is turn off the water to 20 households.

Can you please point me in the right direction.

    Regards

    Hi,

    Thanks for contacting us.

We would advise that you contact the ESB regarding this matter to return supply to the affected pump house.

Restoring power supply to privately help pump houses is not within Irish Water's remit.

We hope this matter is resolved as soon as possible for you.

    Kind regards,
    Mairead
