Low HotWater Pressure in bathroom sink

    Hi.

I have a gravity fed hot water system with an immersion tank in my room (the main bedroom) and a gas boiler out in the utility room. I have no pumps in the house due to the nature of the upstairs/down stairs system, and the cistern tank being in the attic.

Even if there is a hot water in the immersion tank in my house, the hot water tap in the bathroom sink only trickles. The water in the kitchen sink is fine, I can fill a mop bucket of hot water from that sink, but it takes ages to fill the bathroom sink with even enough for a shave.

The bathtub in the bathroom is fine as well, there is good pressure out of that hot water tap, regardless if there is hot water or not. Does anyone have any idea what this might be.

The problem is most likely with the Tap so. To be sure you will need to close off the supply and remove the pipe from the Tap. Use a Bucket and cloth and turn the water to see if the water is flowing ok. If so the problem is with the Tap. Might be better to replace it anyway.
