Tiling Advice

We are considering tiling our house throughout (except bathrooms) with a large format tile - 600mm * 600mm.

    We will have UFH.

Would anyone have any advice on how best to layout the tiles? I'm thinking diagonally may be good as it apparently makes it easier to hide slight imperfections and reduces the visual impact of the grout. But obviously a lot more waste and cutting.

Also, anyone any tips on tiling marble? I may have to keep my options open when it comes to doing some of the rooms myself.

Are you using 600 x 600 marble throughout all of downstairs?

Is marble that hard to work with??

Yes - using 600*600 throughout all apart from bathrooms. House is a bungalow.

Yes very hard to work with and you would definitely need a professional especially with large format tiles. Where are you based?
