How does everyone on here dispose or get rid of leftover slurry?

    plough it in for maize.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Put it ontop of the rest of the slurry and you won't have to wait to long for rain

I wont say what I normally do with it because lets just say its not exactly environmentally friendly

What do you mean leftover? Slurry can be used in 6months time or when suits

And Nitrogen. If people were paying for it they wouldn't waste it.

Could be time for extra storage or less stock wintered . This year is tougher than most to find spreadable weather ground but if you're in trouble every year something has to change

At this moment in time all slurry is excess here. Not a hope in hell of it seeing the fields until ground conditions are favourable. Thankfully we have sufficient storage although we had to get the contractor in two weeks ago to pump watery stuff from the seldom used slatted unit into the lagoon.

I'll take it. Slurry is too valuable to waste. I've a lad drawing pig slurry at the moment and unless your indoor finishing on a small block or extremely highly stocked, there should be no such thing as leftover slurry.

Doubt the OP is a farmer, never heard of anyone saying "leftover" slurry, every farmer knows the value of slurry, especially at the cost of fertiliser.

Ah this is a wind up. Give it to me. There'll be none left over.

I'd never have enough. Natures fertiliser.
How can you have excess slurry even the neighbours would be glad of it.

Dispose and slurry don't go together.
    Utilise and slurry do.

Definitely a townie winding up the country folk.;)

The OP also suggested to dispose of unmarked chemicals in the river.
I think orm0nd was not impressed.

Was it in England where a farmer sprayed slurry all over the front of his bank a few years ago?

Be careful in relation to organic N limits. All piggeries have to account for where their slurry is spread.
