Berlin night life?

Off to Berlin next month. Had a good look at threads on here, most are fairly old. 4 girls in 30s 40s age group. We will hopefully be staying around the mitte area, nothing booked yet. Plan to do the normal touristy stuff, so OK for that. Just wondering about night life, not really up for euro disco house pumping night…

Just wondering about night life, not really up for euro disco house pumping night clubs, but rather late bars, bit of music, maybe few live bands? Just lively but interesting.
If anyone has any recommendations?
