    Hi All.

I have an international 785xl. I put a new exhaust on it. Tightened the ring fitting good and tight. Problem is vibration. A lot of vibration when revving it up past middle rev. It's came loose again. I'm thinking putting a second ring on it, which should help, but Is there anything else to stop the ring vibrating loose. Thanks all

Did you put a rubber or anything on where the exhaust connects to the engine side??

I don't think a rubber would last long on an exhaust!
OP, have you lock nuts on the clamp?

Edit: should be double nuts instead of lock nuts.

I always thought there was something to go on there not just bare metal on metal??

    Dunno about lock nuts

Lock nuts on alright. Doubling up is all I can think of, with an extra ring.

Put on double nuts. The plastic piece in the lock nuts will melt and the nuts will vibrate off.

I've seen the stub that the exhaust clamps on to come loose in the manifold of those, but would be pretty obvious

that would cause vibration , may need a run of weld

when you say "ring" are you using a kind of a large jubilee type clamp?

might be better off using a U shape exhaust clamp
