Basically looking for a 802.11ac router that supports DD-WRT that is reasonable priced. I see ones like the Tomahawk that really expensive but I am looking for something that is good value for money but still is gigabit and 802.11ac . I see that some of the T-links are 4x4. Like I don't think spending an extra 100+ euro for 5-10% better performance is something I would do but I am looking for somewhere that is full featured, wall mountable and well priced. USB 3 would also be great too.

    I am not asking a lot ;)

Running DDWRT often disables HW NAT so using that may increase cost to get the same perf has OEM FW. Do you have a reason not to use a Mikrotik ?

You mean something like http://routerboard.com/RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN ? Would you mean running Router OS or other on it. Price seems good. I am just a bit used to DD-WRT but the features this offers are great. Can't see if it has AC support. tbh having as fast wifi I can (I know it also depened on the client) with some features like bandwidth monitoring, improving DNS response then this could be an option. Do you have any further review of this as everything I find is like an hour long on what it can do.

    That router hasn't got AC.

Archer C7 or Asus RT-AC66U. Any particular reason for DD-WRT? I've been less then impressed with that OS over stock firmwares in recent years.

I snagged a Archer C7 v2 in PC world for 70 euro. Happy with that. I know that running DD-WRT might knock ac but I am think it was a steal.
