    Was anybody watching the launch tonight? I have been up the last couple of nights watching the countdowns, it was pretty exciting. You can watch a replay here;

    Hopefully the video starts at the 30 second countdown, if not, skip on to 18:46.

    Pity about the first stage landing though. I was hoping they could land this. Looking forward to finding out more on that part and the videos of the landing, if there are any.

    The landing was a long shot by any means. Even Elon was pesimistic about it. It was by far the most minimalistic landing attempt they have tried yet and the first one using 3 engines for the landing burn leaving no margin for error. Some at SX didn't even expect the stage to survive reentry in one piece. Given that they managed to punch a hole in the ASDS with the stage still functional is great going considering the above.
