Hi, I recieved my p60 on the 17th of February via email attachment from my employer . I rang Revenue straight away advising me what to do and the gave me an email address to forward the p60 on to.

I haven't have any correspondence since, not even a confirmation email.

Does anyone know how long it usual takes? Sorry if it's a stupid question, I've never had to do this before.

    Thanks

What is it that Revenue needs to do?

What haven't you had to do before?

A P60 is just a statement of earnings and tax paid in the previous year, you don't necessarily have to do anything with it. Unless the details are incorrect.

I was told to send it to revenue in order to claim some tax back from last year, I'm pretty sure I was overtaxed. Is that not the norm for a p60?

I see. I think you have 5 or 6 years to claim back overpaid tax so don't worry about the timeframe. Go onto PAYE Anytime and request a P21.

You only have 4 years to claim back tax.

OP Revenue will have the details of your P60 on their own system from the employer's P35. Just ring your local tax office, look for the PAYE section, give your PPS number and request a P21 balancing statement for 2015.

You are posting in an online forum. If you can manage that, then you can manage to request a P21 online via your free paye anytime account. No need to waste time on a phone call.

Just did it there myself for last year just in case, haven't sat down to look at last year's tax yet. Took less than a minute from login to logout. Here's the link even: https://www.ros.ie/myaccount-web/sign_in.html?execution=e2s1.

Technically speaking its up to 5, or 4 and a part of the current year.

4 previous years is the limit.
