    Hello,

My auld lad got a letter in the door yesterday telling him his tax needed to be renewed. Nothing strange there.....except that he was in a car accident in December. The car was written off and sold to a garage in tipp (I think it was) Is this something to worry about?

Looks like he didn't transfer ownership over to them. He should contact the garage and have them take responsibility. If the car goes back on the road he could be responsible for tolls, speeding fines and penalty points as the car will still be in his name.

Jesus if it wasn't for the tax crowd emailing me, we never would have known. Well, until I it was too late anyway.
