Cheapest of cheap bikes wanted

Looking for the cheapest of cheap bikes to cycle about 6 minutes each way to/from train station. It will be locked there all day so should be quite undesirable. It will also never be maintained. The cheaper the better!

I am sized about 52 - 54 in a road bike so something about that size.

A frame would also do as I have enough to build up something (I think)

    Lenny

You live close enough to the station to use one of these! :P

I Think I have exactly what you need, it's a full bike but he's a bit elderl (old racer, he's lived beside my bed for the last two years in the vague and completely unrealized hope of doing him up. He has a full service history! But might need a bit of a tinker getting going again. I wouldn't know it's been two years since he went anywhere :o ) He's so cheap he's free to you if you can collect him!

It would be good if I actually told you what he is!

His name is Benny (first and foremost!) He's a pearlescent white late 70's/early 80's Peugeot 10 speed racer, small frame, owned by my uncle all his life. He lived in a shed for the last 25 years or so rarely used. Bit of surface rust about him, not too sure about the state of his wheels. All rolling, I've never actually cycled him though, he came up to Dublin and straight to my room so I can't tell you what state his gears are in.

gadetra - that sounds perfect. I will arrange to get over to you some evening during the week and collect if thats ok? I have bits n pieces to make sure Benny gets back on the road, and will probably single speed him, so a late 70s/early 80s should have the correct dropouts and everything, plus steel is real etc :)

    Nice one!

Will send you a PM to arrange collection

He's already said goodbye to his current ones  He keeps going on about how great fresh air and outside life is, and how great more northerly climes are. I don't want to burst his steel-y little bubble on the last one... :P

Probably a bit big but €100 would get her
