Tickets go on sale for this on Friday 4th March. Anyone recommend seeing him in concert? Does he play all his old hits?

I saw him most recently in the Point a couple of years ago when he did his wheel of fortune tour - so he played a load of hits. Think he generally plays lots of the hits, though it could depend on which band he's touring with.
I've seen him a few times, he's always great.

Apparently its with the original Attractions so good old vintage stuff.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

You can checkout setlists online, I do this for lots of artists I would be wary about.

    http://www.setlist.fm/setlists/elvis-costello-43d6b78f.html

Though you have to watch out if the new tour says something specific too.

I also check youtube to see if they are any use.

Just got two tickets, really looking forward to this. Only saw him once previously, in the old Point about 20 years ago

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

Anyone know what support will be on? Nothing on Leagues' twitter yet.

The Undertones are supporting him in Galway but it's probably different.

I saw them play as a support act a few years ago. Thought they were pretty decent.

I was in Galway last night - EC and the band were excellent. After a shaky start, band and sound settled down from song three onwards. I won't spoil the setlist, but they play lots of well-known songs but with some new arrangements and twists to keep it interesting. I hadn't seen him in about 25 years and I'd forgotten just how surprisingly good a guitarist he is. The Undertones do one thing but they do it very well indeed. Even though you knew it was coming, that opening double beat of Teenage Kicks brought a lump to the throat. Paul McLoone is a very charismatic and energetic frontman.

    +1

I've never been to a gig there, what a really brilliant venue - I'll be looking for others to go to after last night!!

And Elvis never fails to deliver.
