    Started last night in the States and is getting decent reviews.

    Based on the series by Joe R. Lansdale where best friends Hap Collins, a white ex-con (James Purefoy) and Leonard Pine (Michael K. Williams), a black, openly gay Vietnam veteran, try to keep out of trouble in East Texas in the 1980s.

    There's only one show I binge watch and watching series 3 of Hap and Leonard today was a day well spent. Yet again, for the third year running it's the best thing on TV and puts the likes of Game of Thrones to shame. Hap and Leonard is classic TV, smart and wry, its humour is dark, the stories darker and the leads exceptional. It's quite simply the beat thing on TV and alongside Longmire its cancellation is further proof that great TV is becoming rarer and rarer.

    Finished watching all three series. Nearly brilliant, still enjoyable enough, but just missed the mark every season for me, and the final episode was a real anticlimax. 2nd series the best of the three for me I think.

    Afaik it's cancelled now too, but open to correction on that.

    Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.
