    Hi all

Recently I've been quoted 3,800 for one implant. I wasn't expecting it to be so expensive. Has anyone got one recently? And if so how much did you pay?

Was that just for the implant? Or was it for additional treatments such as bone augmentation/tooth extraction/temporary denture/bite guard etc? Seems on the high side for implant alone.

The price is for everything, including extraction and bone regeneration.

The op is a little misleading, the price quoted is not for one implant, it is for all the treatments associated with the replacement of an existing tooth with one implant, this would include:

    • Extraction of tooth.
    • Temporary prosthesis (eg denture) to replace tooth.
    • Bone augmentation/grafting procedure.
    • Surgery to place implant.
    • Probable procedure to expose implant after 2-3 months if augmentation involved.
    • Abutment for implant.
    • Crown for implant.

You are probably paying around €2.5. - €2.7k for the implant and the balance for the additional treatment. Seems about right, a lot don't need augmentation and the tooth is already missing before they have the implant so your cost seems high by comparison to the norm, but you are having more treatment than the norm.
