    Hello

Had a look around online but could not find what I was looking for.

LookIng for a stick with measurements on it that I can put in to my home heating oil tank to see how much oil is left.

I know I can put in any old stick but would like a stick with measurements on it.

Most oil suppliers used to give them out (but always found the plastic ones hard to read.

Use a broom handle and graduate yourself with a felt marker.

What is the best phrase to search for this. If I put in oil measuring stick, it just brings up car stuff.

I use a bamboo cane or something like that, just compare it against the side of the tank to see how full or empty it is. If such a thing exists it will probably be quite pricey, and at least with an old handle or cane you can just leave it outside without worrying about it fading or anything!

Edit: try searching for 'home heating oil dipstick'
