    Hi everyone,

Quick question... Bit confused by the information online.

I'm receiving Rent Allowance and Lone Parents allowance, both weekly. I'm returning to college and I'll be getting Back to Education Allowance. Because of the rent allowance rules, I can only return to college if I get BTEA and sacrifice my lone parents. Because I'm only 23 this means I will end up with a significant decrease in my weekly income. Does anyone know if there is anything else I might be entitled to to make up the difference? I don't want to keep putting off my education because of money!

I'm not entitled to SUSI grants as per rent allowance rules (usually you can choose between BTEA and grants, but I have to choose BTEA in order to keep my rent allowance).
