Looking to get timber window boards looking as close as possible to golden oak colored windows.

Any advice on what timber to get?

If i was to seal and stain white deal window boards would i realistically get a nice finish?

    Thanks in advance

No, white deal stained and varnished looks like just that. A nice piece of oak would be better.

I would also like opinions on this window boards query. Our windows are golden oak fairly traditional window bars etc. I think we have 23 windows in all so oak would really be expensive.
Hoping for off-white / cream architrave skirting. Oak doors hopefully throughout

Would a person put oak in main spaces and white deal in bedrooms

I think we will be tiling the bathroom, countertop will be window board in kitchen so that would bring us down to 19 windows for actual window boards.
