Honeymoon in August

    Hi all,

My fiancee and I are planning to go on honeymoon in early August. We wanted to see some part of Asia because we have never been there before but I'm told that the weather can be quite rainy then. We went into a travel agency yesterday who gave us an itinerary for Thailand but the cost was crazy.

I think we might try to do the same trip ourselves to try and bring the costs down but I'm still not sure about Thailand or Asia in general given the potential for bad weather.

Looking for some advice from the more experienced travellers here. Would Thailand be a recommended place in August or should we look elsewhere? Worth noting that we are looking for a mix of activities and luxury so maybe a few nights in Bangkok/north Thailand and a week on Koh Samui. If so, are there any recommended travel providers we could use or is it really a case of roll the sleeves up and get onto the airline sites?

    Hello!

We are going on our honeymoon on the 1st August:) we are actually going to Dubai(3 nights) Bangkok (3 nights) and Koh Samui (7 nights)
The weather will be better over around Koh samui rather than the other side-phuket etc. We booked with Trailfinders. Got a great package and we wouldn't have been able to get that price ourselves.
