You arrive home after an evening of quenching the thirst and refreshment. You stare into the bright lights of the fridge and think about making a difference.

What's the consensus? The dream sandwich?

    Ham, cheese, mustard.

Toasted sambo, tomato puree (sprinkled with basil) salami and cheese, basically a poor man's pizza

Nice bacon sandwich when I can be arsed. A really nice ham butty, with salad cream, lettuce, white bread, fantastic.

Nicest sandwich I've ever had apart from those is marks and spencers. Toasted sausage with caramelised onion.

Fish fingers, fried egg, beans, lots of real butter on white bread. Birdseye potato waffle or two snuck in if I'm feeling cheeky.

Bacon, lettuce and tomato is the true king. Obviously with various salads as preferred with some hot sauce. Bingo....

I love that Subway south-west sauce. I'd put that on anything tbh.

Dominoes pizza cut into strips. Then throw that into a bread roll spread with garlic mayo. Then wrap the roll in tortillas and deep fry it. Serve with a bowl of ketchup for dipping.

Chicken, bacon, and a ton load of salad and mayo.

Or, if available, fried eggs and bacon. These tend to require more effort than I'm willing to expend if I'm considering a sandwich though.

A nice sourdough or ciabatta bread, pesto, sun dried tomatos, basil, grilled chicken and a bit of parmesan... Now I want a sandwich at 6:53 in the morning. :(

Damn it. I was planning on having a lie in this morning as the kids are off school.
Now I have to get up and make myself a ciabata, bacon, sausage and egg with a smidge of kp. And maybe even some crisps,

Seconding the great "BLTCA" (bacon-lettuce-tomato-chicken-avocado), with grainy mustard.

Alternatively, hot pastrami on rye with Swiss (Emmentaler) cheese, properly prepared sauerkraut, and remoulade sauce, the classic New York Reuben.

It's nothing without the egg and the Mayo/Ketchup combo
