quad therapy for h pylori

    Hi,
I'm new to boards and just wondering if anyone has any advise on this, For quite a while now I've had H pylori which is quite common but my appetite has suffered because of it and only been able to eat little amounts. After failed triple therapy, I'm now on a Quad therapy

    Rifampican 600mg (2x 300mg daily)
    Clarithromycin 1000mg (2x 500mg daily)
    emazole 80mg (2x 40mg daily)
    travanic 1000mg (2x 500mg daily)

Soon after taking these whatever bit of appetite I had left is gone and anytime I try to eat I get sick, (I've been able to keep down yogurt and milk ) but food wise nothing in nearly 3days. Does anyone have any experience on this treatment and is the severe loss of appetite just a side effect?

    Any advise appreciated,

    J

    Hi LethalJ,

Sorry to hear you've unwell. Unfortunately none of us here are able to say whether the symptoms are side effects of the medicines or not, it would be best for you to contact your doctor or pharmacist to ask about this.

    Hope you feel better soon.
