One of my old computers (laptop) only has 3Gb RAM.

    It runs Windows 7 x64.

It has a micro card slot in the side.

I've put in a card and allocated 5Gb memory via ReadyBoost.

Is this the best way, or should I use virtual memory?

    Many thanks.

    D.

Readyboost will be quicker than virtual memory but you'd get better speeds off a USB key. The trouble with readyboost is that these cards and keys have limited writes, some as low as 1000, so it may not last long. The best option is to get more ram
