Sorry for the urgency. We're in the middle of alot of renovations in our house and have decided to zone the oil heating to upstairs, downstairs and water only. We're paying the electrician seperately but the plumber has come back with a price of €2100 to do this. I'm waiting for him to come back this morning to give me details of what it entails. I'm too late to get quotes elsewhere so just wondered if someone could indicate ballpark figures.

FYI, it's a slightly bigger than norm 3bed semi (has converted garage and attic). Boiler isn't being replaced this time around.

It always helps to tell us what area you might be in?

2100 seems to be on the expensive side of things but it's hard to know without looking at it.
A full re plumbe of the zones might be needed.
Make sure he is seai registered and get the 600 euros back.

Sorry, in an urban part of kildare. I can't find him on the SEAI site which might be a problem so need to confirm this. He's due in shortly so I'll get full details then. Apologies for the 'how long is a piece of string thread' :o

EDIT: Turns out he's not registered to SEAI which is a very substantial loss to us. Before I go to tradesmen to look for someone else, can anyone here recommend anyone? thanks.
