Hi all i have a 09 grand picasso auto with 205k on it, just replaced oil pressure pump which led to turbo fail and had to get new one also €1450 total bill. Dont want to be pumping more money into her so thinking of changing once the summer goes. Its the wifes car and she works in Nenagh so car gets 400kms per week mostly motorway so will stick with diesel.Dont want to get into a €500pm loan so was looking at PCP. Would really like something around €300/350pm but stay with an auto.I like the octavia estate but the dsg version are 30k, Reno Capture are nice but a little small.Have 2 kids and we drive to France every year for the hols so would need something suitable. Had bad experience with a c-max so thats out. Would my own car be enough for a deposit and then 300pm? any advise appreciated..

Might be worth pointing out that VW are doing pcp on used cars too.
I assume you have thought ahead to 3 years time when the pcp finishes and what your options are then?

Suppose I'd hope to have enough value left as a deposit to go again but handing back a 3yr old car with 75k+ maybe I'm not so confident now.

Why not look at getting a nearly new Octavia DSG estate or a year old one. Also maybe look at the Peugeot 3008 and the 5008 if you still want a seven seater both lovely cars.

    Peace and long life.

Octavia will come with faulty DQ200 if not purchased with 2.0TDi. 3008 and 5008 from late 2015 come with a new EAT6 gearbox - which is miles ahead of the crappy quasi-matic installed in PSA cars in the past.
