Hi, I'm looking for a nice tie with at least some orange in it for a wedding - orange & navy is the theme. There are some gold/ivory accents which could also be considered! It needs to be a standard pattern, not anything too image-y (Thomas Pink have two, but one is elephants and the other is flamingos...) stripes preferred

I can't find ANYTHING orange so far - I've checked the usual suspects (BT, Arnotts, Louis Copeland, Thomas Pink) - any recommendations of where has a good selection that's perhaps slightly off book colour wise?

I'll assume you've tried M&S, they tend to have pretty decent striped ties.

I thought perhaps Tiebar.com would sip to Ireland and they do but delivery is $25- their ties are great value though so may not be a bad option considering the price of a decent tie here.

I particularly like this, this and this one!

Found this while looking it up although I know nothing about the company so no idea if they're any good quality .

Drakes have a few. Expensive but extremely high quality.

Orange tie with a navy suit is a very nice combination assuming you have the complexion to pull it off. If you have typical pasty Irish skin I'd avoid it and wear an orange pocket square with a more neutral tie.

I've bought a number of orange ties from Luxeswap over the years, extremely high quality "thrifted" items. All handmade, 'designer' or high end makers, and for very low prices - you can get one for about 20 quid.

He has a couple for auction at the moment:

    Brooks Bros

    Atkinsons

    Barbera

    MJ Drake

    Polo

When's the wedding? They normally take about 2 - 3 weeks to get from the USA. One tip: join StyleForum and you'll get a 50% shipping discount, just let him know at purchase time.

Bids end normally around 11pm on Sunday evenings; most buyers bid very late so get yourself a good sniping tool or just be ready to hit purchase with your highest bid at the last minute.
