Astra 1.4 16v

    Hi folks

    Anyone any thoughts on a 2009 Astra 1.4. What are they like to drive? Are they as slow as a lot of the reviews say etc?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Is it the newer type Astra or the older one? If the older type then the answer will be the same as in your other thread. If it's the newer type Astra then the answer is yes if it's the non turbo version as the newer type Astra is a heavier car than the older one.

    And just to add if your looking to keep engine sizes down then look at the Hyundia i30 or Kia Ceed 1.4 litre petrol models. They are much better performers than the same size engines in the Astra or Civic. Failing that the Auris with the dual VVTi 1.33 litre engine is worth a look at. There are plenty of 2009 UK imported models with the newer 1.33 litre engine, the older 1.4 litre was sold here until the facelift in 2010, it has higher motor tax than the 1.33 litre.
