Father of irish baby

I want to enquire about how I would go about getting permission for my boyfriend to remain and work in Ireland? I am pregnant and due to have a baby next week. My boyfriend (the baby's father) is from Brazil and he came here for the birth and got 90 days to stay in Ireland. We would like to get him a visa to remain and work here. I was wondering if anyone could advise me what to do to enable him to remain here as a parent of an Irish citizen child?
    Thanks a lot

He can go to an immigration solicitor who can make the application on his behalf.

There's a form you can download from the INIS website for permission to remain as the parent of an Irish citizen. It lists all the documents you need to submit. It's pretty straightforward. As long as there aren't any complicating factors like e.g. daddy has a deportation order or criminal record you don't really need a solicitor. Just be aware it can take a while!

Do you know any good immigration solicitor or one that wouldn't cost too much?

Yes I found this form thanks. But because he was only here as a student before, I can't provide a lot of the documents. We didnt rent anywhere so can't show that we are renting somewhere. He is here as a visitor for 90 days now so can't show bills etc.. But if we apply and his permission to remain runs out before we hear back, does he have to leave in the meantime? Would there be any way to get another visa to buy time while we wait?
And finally, do we call into GNIB with the application form or post it?
