So I recently got called to a meeting about the tús work placement program. And I was told their was a position for me. The position is in a office and it's not a real job. I'm basically stuck here staring at the wall all day. I kept asking them before starting can I please take a few days to think about my options. They were very insistant I start the position or I will lose my Jobseeker's payment. (It was a mistake on my part to let them bully me and sign me off into this). They kept reassuring me that I can walk away if anything better comes along. But it seems now that I've been signed off my Jobseeker's payment. I can no longer take solas training courses or jobbridge (what I wanted to do). I'm looking for something in web design or programming. And I'm not qualified enough to get employed in this field. I need to take advantage of the training courses or jobbridge and everything else that it appears I am no longer eligible for! I can still get btea and go back to college in September but I can't sit here staring at the wall in the meantime. Any advice about how to get out of this stupid situation would be appreciated.
