05 1.6 petrol laguna timing belt cost

    Hi just wondering if anybody would be able to tell me roughly how much it might cost to get a timeing belt replaced on 05 1.6 Laguna plz?? We are looking to buy one and they are looking for 1,500 but they said that the timeing belt will need replacing thanks the car has 101km on clock and nct is due to expire on July 16 . Would I be mad???? Thanks very much

    For Laguna 2 the belt needs changing every 5 years or every 110k kms, whichever is first. May as well do aux belt and water pump too while it's done.

    Get quotes from a few local mechanics.
