JSB - still waiting, being told different things.

Hi there, this is complicated, so I'll apologise for that. My specific question is - what do I do next and who do I speak to?

I left my job just over 4 weeks ago. I can't get into specifics on an internet forum but there was illegal activity happening, I tried to discuss and resolve it, which didn't happen, so I spoke to Workplace Relations, Citizens Information, and left.

I signed on 4 weeks ago. I was told the employer would be sent a up20 form and once that was returned, a decision would be made.

In the meantime, I reported the illegal things to the correct bodies. I have letters confirming that these are being investigated.

Two weeks after signing on, I went in to see what was happening with my claim as I'd heard nothing. I was told the employer still hadn't responded and until they did, my claim was just sitting there. I was told I couldn't make an appointment to discuss SWA until the employer returned that.

I rang last week after receiving a letter saying my claim was suspended. It was a mistake thankfully, but I was also told that after 3 weeks without a reply (it was nearly 3 weeks at this stage), they'd proceed with making a decision.

So I waited again. I went in this week and was told no, absolutely nothing would be done until the employer replied.

I went in again today and thankfully I was granted an appointment for SWA, but was also told that my claim should already have been processed because it's been a month without the employer replying.

So what's the craic here? I'm happy I can at least hopefully get SWA, but how long do I have to wait for JSB to be approved (or declined)? I've been given three different answers from three different people so I've no idea how long I'm expected to wait.

    Thanks in advance!
