Now TV from Sky

This is a IPTV legal service from Sky

    www.nowtv.com

    I got a box from amazon.co.uk

I have it for 3 weeks in my spare TV room

I live in a house so I also have Sky TV in my TV room

When you are setting up a account:
    Your Country is United Kingdom
    Your City is Manchester
    Your postcode is M60 ORA

The 'Entertainment pass' costs over €9 per month
You can cancel after a month, you are not stuck on a long contract.
Each Now TV account covers 4 devices

I got the 'sky sport day pass' last sunday for over €9

'Entertainment pass' is actually the basic sky channels, catch up, the sky box sets etc which cost €39 per month for a satellite customer

'all4' on demand is available and it works with a few ads

Now TV is sky's answer to netflix

I am waiting for Now TV's new Terrestrial box with Now TV that comes available later this year

You're doing better than I did. I created a UK account on iTunes and on the Now website, paid Now for a 7 days Sky pass to watch the US Open golf last year. I logged in to my UK account on my Apple TV to get access to the Now app and was happily watching the golf until they bumped me on the second day, closed my account and refunded my money! They obviously saw my Irish IP address and decided I was persona non grata.

I suspect that UPC (now Virgin Media) has an exclusive agreement with Sky that nobody else can sell cable access to Sky premium channels in Ireland.

Look, I know this isn't geoblocked on an IP level, but Sky don't market it here (yet) and won't take payments from Irish addresses. If you try to use it, it is on your own head if it doesn't work and/or you lose money by doing so.

With that in mind, and also bearing in mind the long standing policy on these forums that we discuss all Sky products in satellite, I'm closing this thread
