Floor wet passenger and driver side

Floor wet in 01 vw golf 1.9tdi. Been like it for the last year. Presume theres a blockage some where and water building up. Any idea where i should be looking?

VAG cars all seem to block the drain holes in the scuttle, remove the panel under the windscreen and clear all the holes around the battery compartment.

If your car has a sunroof, check that the drains from the channels of it are not blocked.
Some thin wire and an airline should do it

The same happened with a Passat that I had. The cause was leaves getting trapped under the bonnet at the windscreen (we parked the car under a tree).

A badly fitted or broken pollen filter housing cover will also cause water ingress on the passenger side.
