I am looking to get the lens of 3 of my glasses replaced. I checked vision express for .67 index plus anti glare coating (I need this as I work on computer all day). The price quoted was around €150-€180 per pair.

I want to keep the frames, just the lenses replaced.

That's around €500 for all three.

Anyone know of any cheaper alternative?

This may help someone in the future.

Went to few opticians. Thought smaller opticians may be flexible but unfortunately didnt get any deal. Went to Vision Express... the same. Specsavers... talked to a sales girl.... the same. Price quoted was €140 for each lens replacement. This is for 1.67 index lenses plus anti reflective coating. I asked her what if I need to get 4 pairs replaced - quoted total €560.

Walked into a different Specsaver shop. I was about to talk to a sales girl but saw a man with Manager tag on his shirt. So instead I talked to him, he first said the usual that the price is €140 each. I said what about 4 pairs. Thought over it and said €400 - €160 off. I tried my luck and said what about €350. Took couple of minutes then agreed.

Moral of the story - You can haggle a bit if you get the right person.
