    Check the headers. They usually bring you back to the originating IP.

    Google:

    check headers [INSERT EMAIL CLIENT HERE]

    If it's requesting bank details I suspect it was Nigeria or Cameroon.

    Could be difficult unless you know it came from their home PC as opposed to a smartphone or internet cafe. I'm assuming you can't just reply and ask them?

    From I have done I traced it back to a company using the header. While looking through the header it says :::pc

    Look for the source IP in the headers and try an IP geo locator

    It generally won't tell you much however and hackers will tend to mask IPs and use false headers so tracking them is unreliable.

    Ask them for their postal address by replying to their email which you can then go and hand it to them. Not rocket science
