Sorry if this has been asked 5o times but cannot find an answer

Do I need to produce a passport for adults and children for Ryanair flight to London or will new driving licence ID be ok? and what about the childrens id?

If so is it a case that the flights should just be booked in the names on the DL?

And if its a case that its a must to have passport do I need to have them at time of booking (for number etc) or can I complete that info after booking and prior to flying?

    TIA

With Ryanair you must have a passport for ID but don't need it at time of booking, only at check in.

Don't know about what ID is acceptable for kids, I'm sure someone will advise.

Everyone travelling will need a passport. I just checked in my family yesterday to fly to Birmingham and the only option for kids was a passport.

If you are traveling on Ryanair, you must have a passport. Kids as well. They do not accept drivers licenses.

You only need to know your passport number when you are checking in online.

For travel related queries, Google is often your best bet for your starting point.

For example, if you type in "ID requirements Ryanair" and hit Search, the first search result is the page on Ryanair's website, that lists their ID requirements.

Google is great. It will find something for you in one second, that you could be searching for ages to find on a companies website.

You can travel aer lingus without passports so it might be worth looking at if it is an issue.

    https://www.aerlingus.com/travel-information/passports-and-visas/

Children under 16 dont need id.

Note: To travel between Ireland and the U.K. with photo identification other than a passport, you must have been born in Ireland or the U.K. and also be a citizen of either country.
