Replacing Glass on Samsung S5

Hi folks has anyone attempted a DIY job in replacing the glass screen on a Samsung S5. Shops are looking for €130 -€150. I can buy a screen online for €10 but just wondering can it be done by a lay man. I have looked up YouTube videos.

Ment to add when the guys on the youtube videos are using a heat gun Im wondering would a hairdryer fo the same job..

Can it be done? Yes. Is it a nightmare? Yes.


Shops are quoting so much as they want to replace the entire front assembly (LCD, Digitizer, Glass) because its not worth the pain trying to delaminate and relaminate the glass again.

I'm sorry but are you not all there? I answered it above, don't replace the glass, replace the LCD assembly.
