Possible to insulate cupboards over UFH pipes?

I've had UFH installed in my new kitchen and the plumber left the area under the units at the walls clear of pipes. However he didn't leave a gap in the layout of pipes for the island unit. One part of it will be for veg/bread and other fresh foods and another for the bins. I was thinking of drilling some holes in the plinth for ventillation but was wondering if there is something I could put on the underside of the units to stop them heating up?
    Thanks.

Well you could just fit a couple of inches of insulation board (kingspan or aeroboard ) to the underside of the kitchen units and then vent the plinth...
Dunno how much difference it'd make though ...
