P21 and refund times

    I recently requested p21 balancing statements for the previous few years and was sending paper last Wednesday stating I was owed a refund and it would be sent by cheque . Just wondering how long this cheque should take to come out,? As my impression was once you recieve your balancing statements in post, the cheque should arrive almost straight away

    Applied for mine on 08/02/2016. Got the cheque yesterday,15/02/2016

    Got my p21 through my PAYE anytime. Much quicker than paper

    Anyone do it online. I applied for my p21 balancing statement last night and they took my bank details so I'm guessing it will be just paid into my account will I receive any notification.

    I done mine Friday evening online so will let you know when I get it. Nothing from them yet. Hoping by early next week.

    I did recieve an amended tax credit cert in the post this morning . Which I though may have contained the cheque, but nothing

    Update . Cheque arrived today .. All in all . Around 10 days after I started the whole process

    I applied on the 10th no sign of the P21 pending in my PAYE anytime.

    My med1 expenses were over 2000 so maybe I've been pulled for an audit I was a few years ago and that really slows it up.
