Moving house with Sky

I'm moving house in a few weeks, have sky @€;39 pm at the moment, with them 6yrs
Was planning to cancel recently to get a better deal but then said I'd wait until we were moving.

So should I just look for a free moving house install and reduced monthly payment or cancel altogether and set up as a new customer at the new place under husbands name? Obviously I'd lose any 'long term customer' benefits in the future. (And the current new customer deal for the variety pack is €39?! Same as what I pay at the moment)

I'd be inclined to go with your husbands name on a new instal, especially if your box is old you will get a brand new one.

Of course you must go for the free moving house deal. Your other suggestion amounts to fraud. Fraud is illegal.

How is it fraud, the husband would be a new customer?

It's a 'household' subscription, so the husband would not be a new customer. However it's fraud in the loosest sense of the word and a civil issue. Specifically it's a breach of Sky's T&Cs. Sky would never pursue such a breach.

While people try this cancel and resub thing all the time they're frequently caught out. If any of the previous info matches the order can get canceled down in the back office.

All that said the best deal is likely to be from threatening to cancel rather than actually going through with it and resubbing.

from a very recent expierence go with the new install just for the fact that you can order it now and get them to install the day you move or very soon after

also 6 yrs later your not in contract you could simply cancel now and get a new install at your new address all very legally
