Path dug up and put back in a mess

Last year the path on my road was dug up in a few places, but what was put back was a mess. It is uneven to the point it contains little puddles and trips the kids over.

I'm not sure Irish water dug it up, but at the time there was a lot of Irish Water work in the area and I suspected it was. At the time I didn't mind it was a mess as I thought it was a temporary patch job. But as time has past it clearly isn't a temporary job.

How do I go about finding if the work was done by Irish Water and what is going to be done to correct it ?

    Thanks
    Smoggy

The Council would have a list of who had road opening licenses at the time, they should follow it up. You could try reporting it on fixmystreet.ie or fixmyarea.ie as well.

We advise that you contact the Roads Department of your Local Authority, who may be able to find out who carried out these works.

If they were carried out by Irish Water, please let us know and we will certainly follow up on this matter for you.

    Kind regards,
    Mairead
