I had issues with Taxing my Van looking for Vat no; etc etc. I opted for the NO ROAD TAX option. two years later, not a bother. I swear its going better with out it. if I get stopped,I will take the 80euro fine.

We all have a "share"?? Jasus. I thought they just took it in and chucked it across to Irish Water to blow on jollies.

I agree. Why should everybody who pays their road tax have to subsidise those who dont?!

Ah well, some day soon that vehicle will be SEIZED by gardai :p (...the driver has to be lucky every day he drives it, the gardai only have to be 'lucky' once) :D (Any vehicle with road tax expired 2 months or more can be SEIZED).

(Likewise with no NCT/DoE...except there is no '2 month' time limit in these cases (i.e. if an NCT/DoE is out even for 1 DAY..the vehicle can be SEIZED).
