Transfering from individual to company owner

    Hey folks,
I'm just wondering if anyone knows what's required for transferring a vehicle from private/individual ownership to company ownership? As far as I recall, any change in ownership always requires a new weigh docket etc with a van, would this all be required still if the current owner was part of the company? Also, would it go down as an extra owner on the vehicle log book?

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

Actually maybe I'm getting confused here and a change in ownership doesn't require a weigh docket and that's only required when first registering an imported van?

I just registered a transit this week into my uncles company. Just filled out the vlc. Nothing else.

With a change of owner it will need a new Goods Only Declaration signing when it's due tax again.

Shouldn't be any issue with that for a commercial, being used commercially, by a company. Just a bit of additional admin that's all.

Yeah possibly. We didn't have to do it for the last transit but I had to do it for my crew cab this year for its first taxing. I transferred the private tax to commercial tax on conversation day so when renewing that I had to do the goods only form, and more recently I just done it online.

Thanks guys, sounds handy enough, I was thinking I might have to go through the rigmarole of getting it weighed and all that again but a Goods only declaration isn't so bad :)
