Coloured Kitchen Appliances

    Hello all,

Just a quick one. Is it my imagination or is there basically only two colours available for kitchen appliances and laundry appliances? Prison grey or hospital white :D

We've been doing a good bit of on-line searching and some local shopping but we literally have seen nothing other than white or grey.

Are we just not looking in the right places or is that the limit for choice?? Surely not??

Any other options appreciated!!! Thanks all.

Generally if you're any way fussed about looks you'll get an integrated appliance.
You can get the odd random colour from some manufacturers, but shops stock what they can sell. A yellow washing machine wouldn't sell as easily as a white or stainless steel one.
I have seen a few red washing machines lately, and of course you can get the likes of smeg fridges in loads of colours, and a good few wannabe smegs too.

If you had a red kitchen and wanted red appliances, the chances of getting them in the same shade of red as the kitchen, or the cooker being the same shade as the fridge etc, are minimal.

Buy white. It's a good base colour for whatever shade you choose to paint over it.

Thanks everyone. Yeah the missus is thinking she'd like some colored appliances, but I'd prefer if we used base colors like white and used other stuff to add color to the kitchen!!

You can't really go wrong with stainless steel IMO. White just screams student rental house to me.
