The drivers door in my Saab won't open from the outside or inside. Its permanently locked. When i use the key fob to unlock or lock the doors only the rear doors work. I can pull up the passenger button and open it though, drivers door is just permanently closed. Had a fuel pump and alternator recently put in the car if this helps. Any info would be great.

    Thanks

How long has it been like this?
Did front doors fail at the same time?

    Possibly the actuator gone bad.
Is the SID displaying any error messages?

Happened Monday. Sometimes before the passenger door wouldn't unlock but pulling the button up would open it.No fault messages on the display

Try removing cover at drivers footwell and disconnecting the big plug with the red tab, leave for 5 min and reconnect, your door may open then but you need to get the door lock changed. Common fault

When you press the unlock button do you hear a motor or mechanism trying to do anything in the door?

Pull door card off and have a look. Tiny possibility the mechanism has come unhinged.

Try give the door a wallop of the side of your hand as you press the unlock button right around where the mechanism is. Might take a good few guys to get it to click, if it works at all.

If i wallop it anymore ill put my fist through it!!!!!!!!😂😂😂
