Pioneer DEH-80 PRS faulty

    Hi lads,
    I've an issue with my Pioneer unit.

    I suspect it's a main dial on the front panel.
    The button function of the main dial doesn't work. When pressed (and held) - it shows the setup / menu options. When releasing the dial, it goes back to main screen.
    Therefore I can power up the unit, I can still turn the volume up and down, play music, change from CD to radio etc. I can't go into menu and adjust any parameters though.

    Ideally I would like to test the stereo with another front panel to determine whether the fault lies in the panel or unit. I'd need to make a decision then what to do next. I'm reluctant to send it to Pioneer service straight away

    Would anyone have the same unit around Dublin area?

    Any help / advice welcome.
